I was working at my computer today when Gabriel and Ashley coaxed me from behind my desk to come with them, enjoy the sun and run an errand. Okay, I can do that – after all, we’ll “be right back”. Just as we reached Bellevue, I got the call from Krisztina that she was in labor. Uh-oh…with baby number three on the way, I knew it would be quick, and I was miles from home and my camera equipment. I shouldn’t have worried, though…Krisztina is not only a pro at giving birth, she also has a miraculous way of making that moment come at just the right time, for all the key players to be in place. I’ve been honored to be present at the births of each of Krisztina’s beautiful babies, and I didn’t want to miss this for anything. Whew!
Seconds after his water birth in a tub at home, Baby D. announced his presence with a soft cry, then went back to being very mellow for his mom. I think it’s safe to say that he has a wonderful temperament…what a blessing!
