  • I once heard it said that "...our achievements grow according to the size of our dreams and the degree to which we are aware of our destiny." I like that…a lot. Five years ago my dreams were small - but as time has gone on, and the awareness of my destiny continues to unfold before me, my dreams are beginning to soar!

I am not just a photographer – consider me a friend who is here to create motivation and opportunity for you to express your life to the fullest with those you love; moments caught to remember and celebrate.

Life tells every story…once. Let me help you to start telling your story today!

Best of Rehearsal Dinner Photos at Chateau St. Michelle

It’s a special privilege us to photograph the wedding rehearsal dinner for a bride and groom…a time for families to develop their new connections to each other, reflecting on the years that brought them to this point and the big day to come.  Alex and Erin hosted their rehearsal dinner at the beautiful Chateau St. Michelle Winery in Woodinville.  The room was gorgeous, the staff attentive and friendly, the food beautifully presented and the atmosphere a perfect stage for relaxed conversation and sentimental toasts.

Introducing our new {beLoved} sessions in Seattle, for couples in love

Gabriel and I are committed to encouraging people to deepen the love they have for each other and to strengthen their relationships in lasting and permanent ways.  We do this by creating experiences for our clients in which the focus is on their relationships with each other – not to focus on our cameras.  These experiences take many different forms – from young couples in love to grandparents enjoying life with their grandkids – but the end result is still the same:  a shared experience, moments created, bonds strengthened, and the photographs kept to stir the memories of love and family.

So it made perfect sense for us to join a growing movement of photographers who are committed to bringing out the best in their couples – the love they feel for each other, and rekindling the connection that first drew them together.  Originated by an incredible photographer out of Canada named Jesh de Rox, these {beLoved} sessions are perfect for couples committed to each other, to celebrate their relationship, renew and explore those emotions that engage and draw out the best in each other.

God gave us the perfect day for our inaugural {beLoved} session at Coulon Park in Renton with Barb and Jerry.  The sun was shining, the mountains were glorious, the day was crisp and love was in the air.  Barb and Jerry have been married for 31 years – and by their own admission, it was not always a smooth road.  Yet they persevered through much difficulty to emerge on the other side beautifully in love and with a deeper commitment to each other than the day they married. So beautiful is their love, it took my breath away.  How awesome is that?

Barb and Jerry, it was a joy to be with you.  May the love you have for each other continue to grow and deepen – and may you continue to be an example and an encouragement to all who meet you.  Blessings!

Young Actor Headshots in Seattle

Yes, the rush in on to get updated headshots for the upcoming theater auditions, and today I had the fun of working with the next generation of young actors.  This time, two sisters who share the love of acting and have the talent and enthusiasm needed to take this all the way.  During our headshot sessions, I will always photograph for both a commercial and a theatrical look.  Here are a few of my favorites from the day…

Commercial Actor Headshots in Seattle

‘Tis the season!  With the upcoming theatrical auditions fast approaching for Theater Puget Sound, the Northwest’s primary arts advocacy and leadership organization serving the theater community, I’ve had the opportunity to work with several actors who will be stepping up their game and auditioning for the TPS Unified General Auditions.  The UGA’s are an annual event allowing actors to audition in front of 40-50 local theatre groups, agencies, and independent directors – talk about pressure!  I’m impressed by those who have the courage – and the talent – to take something they love so much, step past their fear, and put themselves out there to gain the opportunity to reach our community through the arts.

So meet Lauren – a beautiful young actress with the world at her feet!  Here are a few of my favorite commercial and theatrical looks from her headshot session.

Best Family Photographer for Teen Siblings in Downtown Bellevue

Right before the holidays, I received a phone call from a dad – could I photograph his two teens and get the photos back in time to surprise his wife for her birthday right before the New Year?  Absolutely!  I love working with a challenge and then exceeding my client’s expectations.  The day of the photo shoot, we had to do some quick thinking as our first location choice was unusable because of the downpour of rain…so we shifted gears, and went to Bellevue Square instead.  I knew that the covered skybridge connecting Bell Square to Lincoln Square has always been a safe bet, and the new Lucky Strike Lanes & Power Play could provide a cool diversion from the rain.

It was really cool to see the bond that Becky and Eddie share as brother and sister – Becky described Eddie as her best friend.  It’s not cool that she’s separated from her family while she finishes out her school year in the Mid-West because of a move.  I’m so glad we were able to do this brother and sister teen photo session, not just for their mom’s surprise gift, but as a reminder for Becky of the love and support that waits for her at home.  Thankfully time has a way of passing quickly, and Becky will soon be reunited with her family before they know it.:)
