A song keeps running through my mind as I review the images from Josh and Lindsey’s wedding day. It’s not a traditional love song, but one whose lyrics simply state, “You give me joy that’s unspeakable…and I like it. Your love for me is irresistible… I can’t fight it.” Josh and Lindsey radiated joy their entire wedding day. The kind of joy that’s contagious…unspeakable…irresistible. I start this blog post with one of the few images that I captured where they’re not absolutely beaming. It’s sweet, tender, and I love it.
Josh’s mom called me a few months ago, to ask if it would be okay with me if she used the inspiration from a few of Josh and Lindsey’s engagement photos to create a unique collage for a wedding gift. Of course! I am so pleased with how it turned out, and I know they are, too. She did a fantastic job!
The sand ceremony was uniquely done. Lindsey’s sand represented the white sandy beaches of Florida, where she was born; Josh’s darker sand represented the banks of the sandy river banks from his childhood in the Pacific Northwest. They carefully took turns to create a beautiful pattern into their own unique mosaic.
See? The joy was contagious!
Josh and Lindsey, thank you for welcoming us into your hearts so quickly and effortlessly. We were honored to be with you on your wedding day. May the joy -and love - that God has placed within your hearts continue to grow and expand all the days of your lives together. Blessings to you!
